Sophia Kruz     FOUNDER

EMMY® award-winning documentary filmmaker Sophia Kruz has a passion for non-fiction storytelling and women’s rights. Her work has screened at film festivals, museums, libraries, community centers, and healthcare facilities nationwide, and is broadcast regularly on PBS stations. Kruz's documentary films have been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, International Expressive Arts Therapy Association and the Womanity Foundation. Kruz is  the recipient of the University of Michigan Center for the Education of Women 2015-2016 Visiting Social Activist fellowship for her documentary film Creating4Change,which profiles four female artists working to empower women and girls worldwide and was shot with Meena Singh in India, Kenya, U.S., Senegal, Germany and Brazil.

Ankita Singh     FOUNDER

Ankita is an American attorney licensed in the State of New York and educated in the United States and France.  She earned a JD from American University in DC and two Masters from the University of Paris Nanterre.  She then worked in Paris, primarily as an international arbitration associate at White & Case, a top-ranking firm in the practice.  After living in Paris for seven years, Ankita moved back to DC and back to her roots in policy and development, most recently as a legal consultant for the World Bank Group.  As a passionate advocate for issues of social justice, gender equality, and international development, Ankita was immediately energized and thrilled at the opportunity to collaborate with Sophia and Meena.

Meena Singh     FOUNDER

Meena is a Los Angeles based Cinematographer whose work has been celebrated in New York Times and Hollywood Reporter. Her latest feature film Hollidaysburg produced by Chris Moore (Good Will HuntingAmerican Pie) was the subject of Starz docu-series “The Chair”, which filmed Meena and her team throughout production.  Her most notable experience on a documentary was OSCAR® winning film Twenty Feet From Stardom, for which she shot additional photography. It was then that she learned the power of documentary to tell unique, captivating stories of humanity.  Meena is an alum of Columbia College Chicago and the American Film Institute. She is a member of the International Cinematographer’s Guild.
